Worldwide is a very popular information source, these days. But not only. Many young people spent most of their free time in front of the computer, playing computer games, doing their homework chatting and meeting new friends. Whats more important we can talk to people from all the countries around the world. If we know foreign languages, of course. If not, its quite difficult to make a relationship with a Greek, for example. I wonder, would one language spoken world wide lead to better international relations?
On one side I see many disadvantages of one language spoken worldwide. Still, not many people on our planet know foreign languages. There is more such people than 30 years ago, but not enough to call one language - e.g., English - an international language. I have a lot of friends who doesnt speak English - its a pity, I know - and the would not have any opportunities to search through the internet if there was only one language - not Polish for certain - to operate it.
On the other side I think that one language spoken worldwide would motivate a lot of people to learn languages. Which leads to more relationships made in the internet. In my opinion this would mean better international relations. People would know more about other cultures. From my point of view we would be less afraid of others.
